| 05/17/08 Pitt-Bradford Athletes Recognized |
| Pitt-Bradford's Katie Moore and Jordan Ring were the Pitt-Bradford representatives on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team.
Moore is a junior, a basketball player and has a 3.88 GPA this year.
Ring, a senior and a soccer player, has a 3.61 GPA
Pitt-Bradford's Michelle Kushner was recognized as being ranked in the top five in 3 catagories in the final Allegheny Collegiate Conference softball statistics.
Kushner is a centerfielder. She was second in doubles with 15, was fourth in slugging percentages with a .725, and fifth in batting averages with a .422. |

| 05/16/08 - Pirates Fall to Cubs |
| Alfonso Soriano homered in his first two at-bats, Mark DeRosa went deep, and the surging Chicago Cubs beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-4 Friday for their seventh win in eight games. Soriano connected on the first pitch from Tom Gorzelanny for his third leadoff home run in four games. Soriano launched a three-run shot in the second inning that made it 6-0, giving him five homers this week and eight this season.

| 05/16/08 - Big 30 Press Day Sunday for All Stars |
| The Big 30 All Stars will be introduced to the media Sunday at the Annual Don Raabe Big 30 press Day at Pitt Bradford’s Sport and Fitness Center.
In addition the coaching staffs featuring Bradford’s Steve Ackerman, who is coaching the Pennsylvania All Stars and Rod Rohl of Hinsdale handling the New York All Stars be be presented.
Also, the game cheerleaders and queens will be on hand for Big 30 Press Day at Pitt Bradford .

| 05/16/08 - Lady Owls Win; Owls Fall on Diamond |
| The Lady Owls shutout Oswayo Valley 6-0 on 1490 WESB.
Shelly Fuhrman pitched a two hitter with eight strikeouts.
Michelle Keane and Erin Comilla each tripled and had an rbi for Bradford.
The Lady Owls are 13-6.
The Owls fell to Ridgway 7-5.
Ryan Labrozzi and Cory Viola had rbi doubles.
Taylor O’brien and Lou Jones doubled too.
The Owls are 6-13.

| 05/15/08 - JoePa Hospitalized with Dehydration |
| Penn State coach Joe Paterno was taken to a hospital Thursday morning to be treated for apparent dehydration, a team spokesman said.
The 81-year-old coach was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center by ambulance after feeling nauseated, said spokesman Guido D'Elia. Paterno has not been admitted to the hospital, but was undergoing tests Thursday afternoon, D'Elia said.
JoePa still plans to make a trip Friday to Austin, Texas, for a dinner with University of Texas football coach Mack Brown, D'Elia said. |

| 05/15/08 - Owls Win 10th Straight Track Title |
| The Owls track team won it’s 10th straight District 9 Class AAA track and field championship Wednesday.
Bradford had 127 first-place points DuBois was second with 96.
The Owl’s Tyree Bennett won the Jim Manners award winning the 110-meter high hurdles, 300 intermediate hurdles and playing a part in the 1600 meter relay win.
Vanere Maynard and Nick Johnson also won for Bradford.
The Lady owls placed third in the girls District 9 AAA Championships.
DuBois ended Bradford’s five-year title run. Punxsy was second.
Bobbi Hopkins won the 100 hurdles and Chole Nickel the 300 hurdles for Bradford’s lone wins.
